Has anyone ever had a steering pump (Cessna) that had a cracked pump housing? It is on a Massey 3165 with the gas motor. At first the pressure fitting elbow looked like it was leaking. I removed it and put Teflon tape on it, and it took care of most of the leak, but it still seems to leak near where the pump bolts to the housing that mounts to the motor. It dose not seem to leak as bad unless the steering is turned hard to the right or left stops. Is there a gasket between those housings? The manual shows a diaphragm and another spacer but not a gasket as I would believe.
Any help would be great.
