1: Someone like a dealer may have installed that cylinder to replace the leveling box that you had the crank by hand. The cylinder is real handy when using a rear blade, or a box blade if you want to slope a surface.
2: They came with, and without pto. I haven't worked on a MF with a torque converter, but I would leave on the transmission like you do in a car.
3: See if AGCO has a shop manual for it
http://www.agcopubs.com/ You can also lookup part numbers on line at
http://agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/login.aspx?region=NorthAmerica go to view books, click on "guest user", then put the model number in, then select Massey Ferguson from the drop down menu.
4: The tractor serial number plate will be either on the dash, or below the battery on the left hand side.
5: You are going to need to pull the rear axles (they have shims by the outer bearing so make sure you don't loose them, or forget to put them back in on the same side they came out of) to replace the axle seals. The brakes got trans/hydraulic fluid on them from the leaking axle seals, so you will need new brake shoes. I bought a MF 2135 industrial tractor with no loader, a broken crankshaft, but had 4 new tires for $1500.00 so you did really good for $750.00
It's easier to ask all the questions in one topic if you can so you don't have to look for multiple topics for ever single question.
