Mf40/40B hydraulic lift pumps

I have a late production MF40 that is difficult to find parts for. The casting numbers on components are 1 number off what shows in the parts manual. (not the revision number) The rear Body casting number is 1869963M1 with RB2 stamped just underneath. This is a 21 spline pump with the Pressure control valve instead of the cartridge style relief. The filter is faced down. I wanted to order a seal kit but cannot determine the correct one.

The other option would be to convert it to the cartridge style by replacing the block and standpipe or brazing closed the unused ports in the original pressure control valve block. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try contacting http://www.gbdorning.com/ they should be able to help (they used to be a mf industrial dealer long ago), they helped me out with my MF2135 industrial.

This one is still being quite the adventure. Turns out the pump is an early Mark III. The Diff housing was changed at some point and has the service cover in the bottom for changing the filter. I am trying to find the mount block for converting it to a cartridge style relief instead of the pressure control valve. So far the only one I found must be gold plated. (1/5 the cost of a replacement pump) I was able to find all of the parts to rebuild the hitch cover thru trial and error. I had to order parts for a 165 for the controls. I found a downloadable Sparex catalogue if your interested. It helps to be able to give the sparex number if you are told the part is unavailable. It also does a good job of crossing from one model to another.
