MF 135 original wiring materials?

Is there anywhere I can find out what types of materials were originally used in a wiring harness
on an MF135 with the Perkins gas? I am looking to build a new harness and would like it to look
like the original. Thank you, Sam

The correct colour wiring is normally available from specialist vehicle electrical suppliers likewise most terminals and connectors etc. In the UK many tractors for sale have a 'new' wiring loom but it is clear that it is an after-market one where the colours and terminals may be different. I made a loom to the pattern of the original for my 1974 MF165 and it worked perfectly. The important thing is to peg out the old one so that the new wires can be cut a little longer than necessary and taped every 6 to 8 inches to hold them together.
You will be able to find the relevant colours from the wiring diagram in a good workshop manual.

Yep the color and gauge wire will be listed in the manuals diagram. I prefer using harness covers myself instead of just tape every few inches.
Pay attention to the gauge of wire as it's not all the same.

Thank you. Do you have any pictures of the correct type of loom or suggestions for suppliers that would have the correct terminals? It's fine if they're in the UK. Thanks, Sam

They are regular spade, bullet and ring type connectors. Nothing fancy. If you plan to use the plastic connector blocks then you just need to have the size to fit the block. You can get connector "kits" from amazon that has a bunch of different sizes.
