MF 40 Industrial Hydraulic Lift adjustment

Trying to make hydraulic lift cover adjustments.

I have equivalent spacings for the ram arm, and dashpot
plunger. Quadrants are adjusted as seen in pics.

Manual says to loosen position adjusting screw just enough to
loosen control cam lever. Picture in manual points past the
draft adjusting bolt. Not sure what the position adjusting
screw is. Is it the same as the draft adjustment bolt? There is
a nut on the end of the vertical lever that does not seem to do
anything. What does it mean to free position control cam?

Ok I found out the nut on the vertical lever is the adjustment screw and loosened it to free the control cam lever.

Now when I pull the vertical lever with 3 lbs of force do I remove the wedge tool between dashpot and vertical lever? Currently it take more force to move the vertical lever.

Any help is much appreciated

The wedge tool stays in place until all the adjustments are done. Once you reinstall the top cover you'll have to put it back in there to sync the pump too.

Make sure you have the control levers in the correct locations as referenced in the book.
