MF 135 headlights not working

I just bought a 135 that was missing one headlight and the other stopped working not long after I got it. I figured it burnt out so I ordered two more light bulbs (3 prong 505085M1 - Bulb, Sealed Beam). When I hooked them up and tried turning them on I got nothing. I checked the fuse and it isn't burnt out. Any ideas why these aren't working. I wasn't sure which wire went to which prong so I may have that part messed up.

On the 3 prong headlight, the center prong should be Ground and the other 2 , low/high beam. You must have a ground to make them work!

That's how I have it, the ground is just riveted to the light housing. I still don't have any lights.

Are your lights external in the posts or inside the grill like the uk version? The post version sometimes have plastic washers that isolate the housing from ground. Best to dig out the meter and verify good ground.

They are the external lights on the side of the grill. I'll take a look, thank you.

Hi, in the UK we have a lot of problems with bad earthing(grounding). Irrespective of how good the connections might
look the sure answer is to run a new earth cable from the bulb holder to the chassis of the tractor not to the
bonnet (hood). Try that even if it's only temporary.
