Hi, does anyone know what closes the relay in the cab of the 1005 series? The relay should close when the tractor starts to operate the wiper and blower but there is nothing. When the tractor is shut off there used to be a click (the relay)
opening, but nothing now. Just wondering if anyone knows where the relay gets its power at start up. Oil pressure switch perhaps? Thanks

Hi I think that switch you are looking for is on the oil pressure pipe Teed to the gauge under the dash panel, it was on my 1135, I don't remember an extra block mounted switch for it. Do any of the other gauges like fuel work/temperature work. as they should be connected the same with oil pressure on start up Like on some of the other masseys with that key system .

Maybe that relay in the top of the cabs quit if it's not the sender switch or power problems. The oil switch was bad on mine and somebody hot wired it to work different without it. The other thing to check is cab wiring as Mice really seem to like climbing up in the cab posts, and building hotels up there in the top or in the dash board sometimes. Their teeth seem to be attracted to chewing the wires, They ate mine and an air con hose to if you haven't looked to far into the problem already .
Regards Robert

Thanks to all for the replys. It seems that the relay overhead in the cab is the problem. There is power on the small white wire that closes the relay when I start it up. I am going to try an auto parts store this morning to see if they can get one
not sure of the amperage though. I dont think its available from massey but I will check there also. Thanks again
