Well I just got my parts to rebuild my 230 diesel engine today. I was checking the items and the invoice to make sure I got the right parts and noticed that the camshaft bushings I ordered weren't in there. I called the MF dealer that I ordered them from and he told me Perkins didn't use camshaft bushings on the 230 diesel engines! Well that's not what I wanted to hear. He said someone must have line bored the block and put them in. So now I've got to try and find some place that can make me some or match them up with something. I haven't measured them I just knocked them out and figured I would replace them while I had it tore down. I hope they aren't messed up so I can reuse them. A engine machine shop should be able to find me some or maybe make them couldn't they? Thanks for you advise and help.
