MF 40 Pressure switch

Greetings Massey Gang, I am looking for a source for the oil pressure switch on my 40, part no. 181 140 M94, that controls the electrical system. 3 cyl Perkins, and I think 1969. This is for use on another project, so info on a low pressure oil switch similar to this would be much appreciated. This site does not have a 40 listed in the parts dept. Thanks, Vern H

I've got them from NAPA before, they have Normally Open and Normally Closed pressure switches, and some with both NC and NO together in the same switch. All available in several pressure ranges too. MF used a lot of them for turning on the fuel gauge and charging system on diesel engine tractors, usually on back of the oil pressure gauge.

NAPA Balkamr 701-1577 low pressure switch.

Brendon Warren & Dieseltech, Thank you both for the useful info. I need this switch to control the electric fuel pump on a 289 in a 26T street rod, and had no luck finding anything online. 75 deg +- in Phx area today! VH

I found this one on eBay. I found four of them for the price I paid for one at the store. $25 I think. It was like $80 from Massey.

I found one on ebay and asked one of the local kids (SIL) to order it. NOS 10.00 + shipping. Maybe this old T will rise again! Thanks again, VH

Hi PT, I had no luck finding that switch on this site. I figured they would use it on multiple tractors. If the one ordered won t work I ll know where to find one. Thank you. I ll see if I can post a pic of the Ford but I am not very good on this contraption. I may need to import help. VH

Hi Brendon, I tried, but no luck. I ll get the local puter guru to help. The car is a 26T Tudor, 289, T10 four spd, Columbia 2spd axle, and has been sitting in the garage for 25 yrs. I think with some tinkering it will crank up. VH

Hi Gang, With the help of a local guru (John), please find one (1) kind of old and not too great photo of 26T. I hope censors on here don t cull it out too quick. It did crank up this morning for the first time in 15 years but needs some carb work. Thanks for all the help. VH

Hi PT, Sorry I don t have better and fresher pics but you get the idea. It was a basket case when bought 60 +- years ago. It has seen some stages of repair and disrepair in that time. I am second owner. When up and running I ll try to post a fresh pic or two. I should say I ll ask the local guru (John) to do the job. VH
