1230 pto

This 1230 has problem with the PTO. The pto engages and works fine, but under load and
rpms it will not stay engaged. It takes a few minutes for it to disengage but when it
does it will not stay engaged for more then a few seconds say about 10. It did not pop
out at idle. There is a finish mower on the PTO. Any ideas on this tractor.

This is a forum for more of the antique worn out bigger tractors made by Harry Ferguson. There is a 'Massey Ferguson' forum, again mostly bigger models, but you can ask there too, guys with brand loyalty might mow their lawns with one like it.
