I just purchased another 202 and there is no serial # on the engine so I'm assuming that the block or completer engine was replaced at one time, anyone disagree??

Should be a Continental 4 cylinder gas. The serial number plate usually is on the left hand side (distributor side) of the block right below the cylinder head. Probably was remanufactured replacement engine.

Somebody stole it once upon a time? Or was hiding it from a repro man, trying to hide evidence- that ain't the real evidence. Wrenches gone awry, dummies with a screwdriver... it is /was just a thin sheet of aluminum that wasn't intended to be here 60 years later... most likely... it is still has a Cont z134, and probably original. What numbers are cast into the block? Better to lose that one and still have the dash tag than other way around....
