Massey 253

I was looking at purchasing a Massey 253. Were they manufactured in two different locations, England and Italy? If so, is one better than another?

We have a 253 made in England, don't know if they were ever made in Italy, have never seen one. We bought it with around 400 hours on it, and it now as around 1900 and has been pretty much trouble free. Added a MF 232 loader and use it to feed round bales in the winter. Use it with a 8ft disc mower to mow hay. Use it with a Hesston 530 round baler some, and an 8ft rotary mower.

The clutch has never released quite right and it will scrape going into gear some. Not sure if a new clutch would help. A friend had a 253 and it did the same regarding the clutch. It has good power for what we do with it.
