what is a Massey Harris 20

Bought a 20 MH chassis . Never heard of a 20 . What do I have??

If serial number tag is there it should be oval and on the side of the frame, I believe they were only made for three years, they had a F124 continental engine, my father has one that runs, we started to restore it before the economy tanked and I didn't have the time to do much with it, his has a mechanical lift, not sure if that was standard.

Similar to a 22 or 81. 20 hp, built late 40's Ben

they replaced the 81 in 1946 and were replaced by the 22 in 1948. some of the parts are interchangeable on all 3 tractors. Some sheet metal is the same also. if the serial tag is gone they have the number stamped into the top of the tractor gear case in the area around where the seat attaches. It will be a four digit number and the numbers will be about 3/4" in size. Scratch around with a wire brush or wheel.
