MF135 Diesel - Cold Weather Starting

This is the first winter owning my Diesel MF135. I am amazed at how easily it started this morning. It was around 0 degrees F. It doesn't have glow plugs and I didn't plug the block heater in. It fired immediately as I pushed the button. That put a smile on my face.

My Ford 1500 I had before this one I had to use the glow plugs even in summer. And that was even after changing the head gasket.

Is that pretty normal for these Diesel MF135's and similar tractors to start that easy in cold weather? Does that tell me anything, such as the condition of engine internals?

It would say to me things couldn't get any better. Keep buying fuel from the same place, and keep the battery charged.

(quoted from post at 02:02:36 01/09/17) Engine must be in good condition if it starts right up at 0 degrees.

It starts up the same way at 0 degrees as it does when its 90+ degrees, touch the key, and its running.

I have a Super92 Diesel wiht the 6.305 (2 3.152 engines put together), and I am also amazed by how easily that thing starts. I had to move it 1 week ago, has not ran for 6 months, it started in 2 seconds!
