This is the first winter owning my Diesel MF135. I am amazed at how easily it started this morning. It was around 0 degrees F. It doesn't have glow plugs and I didn't plug the block heater in. It fired immediately as I pushed the button. That put a smile on my face.
My Ford 1500 I had before this one I had to use the glow plugs even in summer. And that was even after changing the head gasket.
Is that pretty normal for these Diesel MF135's and similar tractors to start that easy in cold weather? Does that tell me anything, such as the condition of engine internals?
