Massey 471-481-491 questions

Looking around at some tractors for around the farm and hay work and see that these seem reasonable priced with cab and front wheel assist. Are these good tractors? Are there problem spots to watch for?

Believe they were made in Brazil unlike the UK 200 series they replaced.

I looked at them years ago when new, seemed like a basic, simple tractor. Get the 8x8 for loader work, the 12 speed on the cab model didn't look like a good loader trans.

Don't know how they stood up, didn't see many around since I looked.

I have a 491 that I bought new in 2005. It has been a good tractor and has caused only minor problems. There were a few leaks that the dealer came out and fixed early on. The clutch cable broke once and had to be replaced. Mine has about 900 hours on it and we use it primarily for haying.
