MF 35 on Craig's List

There's a MF35 Perkins Diesel with snow blower and chains for sale near me. Runs well. Looks OK. Northern Michigan. 1800 for the tractor
and 2000 with the snow blower(needs bearing). Just thought I would mention it here as it seems like a great price.

Thinking about it myself right now. If I could get my wife to retire the 8n.

(quoted from post at 09:43:57 01/04/17) Go get it, and make your wife use the 35 for a day. I bet she will be throwing rocks at the 8N after using the 35 for a day.

The power steering alone ought to win her over very quick. The Hi / Lo range transmission ain't bad either.

I don't miss my Ford at all! I put the 8' blade on the 135 last night because we had a threat of a couple inches of snow. The old Ford wouldn't push that thing at all, Joe.

(quoted from post at 18:29:04 01/06/17) Grew up on a 8N, Would use it for a lawn ornament now after owning my Massey. :)

I think my 8N will be a dedicated mowing machine now. The old girl served me well and I won't put her out to pasture.

The Workbull will do all the road work.

This isn't something to think about, it's something to go see with cash in hand. Take your wife with you and let her drive it. She'll buy it for you.

To my mind, the 8N is the white bread PB&J of tractors, and for some, it's just perfect. For others, they'd rather have a half pound burger with choice of toppings (Massey or IH), or a steak sandwich with "special sauce" (same meat but more cost - JD). If you really want just one tractor, get the Massey and sell the 8N. I'm sure there is someone just dying to part with more than it's really worth, just because it's the PB&J they're looking for.

Sounds like a great price to me. I have a To35 and a 2135 both are gas and I realy like them a lot. However that being said, I still have 2 8ns that I like just as much, the 35s are a wonderful tractor if in good condition and the Perkins is the cream of crop. The 35 I have is just as easy to drive as the 8n and has the added bonus of Lpto, and 2 creeper gears, very nice for breaking sod with the rototiller and planting potatoes with a one person planter.
