V belt for MH 55

Having trouble trying to find a belt for my MH 55, ser# gsw1101. It's a gas continental motor with one inch wide pulleys. Is there a set of pulleys to switch it over to a modern belt setup?

Try taking the belt into napa or one of the others. They should be able to look up a replacement based on existing dimensions.

You can get away with a narrower belt if there are no "correct" police around. Just
make sure it is driving on the sides of the pulleys and not bottoming out. Ben

The 1" wide v-belt should be M-H part number 35644A, you mat want to look for companies near you that sell industrial v-belts. If you have the old belt they can measure they maybe able to find one that will work, If you can give them the pulley diameters, and the center to center measurements of the pulleys that may help also.

NAPA was able to look up the part number on my MH44 and get me new belt.
