I came across this Picture... MF 135 with Turbo:

Would someone know if the Camshaft was left as STOCK?

Was the Fuel Injection TIMING left as STOCK?

What is the waste gate set at?

Any info would be great.

Thanks:

Bob..

MF did have a turbo on some 152 three cylinder and 236 four cylinder engines in later model tractors listed in a MF history book I have. Doubt the timing is change much, if at all. Depends if the pump has an advance built in or not. Cam profile may be stock too, but have never seen any specs. Smaller turbochargers use a wastegate to spool up boost quicker, but if turbo size is matched correctly no wastegate is needed. Will look to see if I can find what models of small MF tractors had turbos from factory.

AT.152 is in the MF 355 and 360, AT4.236 is in the MF 390T and 398. Non turbo 152 fuel setting max is 50 CC full load, turbo engines are increased to 55 and 60 CC. Non turbo 236 max fuel on dad's mf 180 is 63 CC, turbo engines are shown to be 68 CC. Don't think either used a wastegate on the Holset brand turbo, not sure by the photos anyway.

I have the block drilled for a turbo oil drain line on my TO-35 with the Standard 23C diesel when I overhauled it years ago. Might put a turbo on it for grins & giggles someday. I'll bet Tony would have a cow though...
