Head Bolts for 230

Well I found something new that the engine rebuilders did. When pulling off the head it was a nightmare. They some how bent a couple of the bolts and they wouldn't come out of the head. One bolt just spun and wouldn't come out. I but a large screw driver under the nut I put back on and applied pressure while turning it and finally it came out. There was a broken up heely coil in the bolt hole in the block. I can't believe all of the jacked up stuff Memphis Engine Rebuilders did to this engine. I know it was 15 years ago when they did it but man what a mess I have to fix now. Do any of you know where I can get new head bolts or do the come in a master rebuild kit? Thanks.

Sounds like the biggest issue is the holes in the block. Just a note: most Heli-coils are shorter than needed to meet the 2 bolt diameters recommended for strength in a standard threaded hole. They rely on the increased strength of the coil. But sometimes you need more thread engagement. Longer Heli-coils are available through a machinist supply like Bixby's. They also carry bottoming taps to make the most out of the hole depth you have available. I also remove the tab used to engage the heli-coil installation tool, that keeps it from rolling the bottom of the coil out of the threads when you install the bolt.

Should be easier to find with the Perkins part numbers.
(4) Bolt (7/16 x 3-1/4" NF. Hex.) Perkins No. 32181447
(3) Bolt (7/16 x 3-1/4" NF. Hex.) Perkins No. 32181445
(9) Bolt (7/16 x 3-7/8" NF. Hex.) Perkins No. 32181446

Thanks for all of your help and I hope all of you don't mind me asking a lot of questions. I've rebuilt some car engines with my dad over the years but he passed away 9 years ago and this my first solo attempt. He was a retired diesel mechanic and my pool of knowledge on things like this.
