Having trouble finding a rear rim for my 130 11 x28 4 lug yesterday's tractor only have 6 lug Hope someone can help Thanks. Mike

A few months ago several people 'in the know' steered me away from a choice! of MF25's... for this reason.... replacement parts aren't available in France, never mind the US or Canada.
What's the chance of repairing the rim you have now?

It was a common practice for wheel shops to cut the center out of wheels and weld new rims on, back in the 70's drag racing days. If you can find a decent 6 lug wheel, a good shop can cut the 4 lug center out, and weld it back in. We ran cars pushing 200 MPH with shop built wheels. I don't mean cutting just the flat part of the wheel where getting it balanced would be hard. Cut at the end of the spokes where they meet the rim, Joe.

Might be easier to have a new valve hole put in a section of good steel and re plate the bad section with an insert?

Thanks four advice thinking about buying a six lug rim from yesterday tractor and re weld my four lugs on. What do you guys think about that. Thanks. Mike

It's possible to do but.. You would have to create some kind of jig to make sure the hub is perfectly aligned with the rim and also attached at the right distance from the inside. If you eyeball it the you could easily end up with a tire that swims down the road instead of rolls.
