Perkins 152 question, Rings-pistons

I just received the rebuild kit fir my 135 with Perkins AD3 152 engine. Sleeves and pistons are Anglo, made in England. Pistons are 3.595,
Sleeves are 3.610-3.615, that's .015 to .020 clearance. Is that correct, what are the acceptable tolerances. The book says the top ring should
have 0.014-0.027 ring gap. These new rings have .039 ? Quite a difference it seems like. Dick

Are you measuring the internals of the sleeves loose from the box they came in, or have you fitted them to the block?
Remember, these are thin walled, and are usually an interference fit in the block. It may have some bearing on the tolerances,
just a thought, Evan.

Here is INFO: from a MASSEY FERGUSON service MANUAL:

MANUAL No. 1448 811 M1

Any time I am working on a Perkins AD3.152 or a A3.152 installed in either MF 135 or FE 35 I use these specs:

If I'm SURE parts DO NOT fall within this manuals specs, the parts supplier would receives a visit and or a telephone call from me with the above manual by my side:
