202 Water Pump

Old water pump leaked. Broke pulley attempting to separate from pump. Obtained new pump and new pulley. Went to press new pulley on to new pump, discovered it fit so easy that I'm concerned about the pulley staying fit to the shaft. Lock-Tite? Knurl? Anyone had this experience?
Thanks for input,
CC

I don't know how loose or tight the fit is but it don't take a lot to turn the water pump. If the fit drags at all on installation I would clean the shaft and bore of the pulley with Locktite Primer and put it together with Locktite press fit adhesive. Light knurling would also work if you have the right tool to do it properly.

The green Loctite sleeve, and bearing retainer. Put a new bearing on a old shaft that was worn .015", after it setup it's been running for the last 10 years (the shaft has not spinning in the bearing yet). Wicked stuff!
