I have mh 30-- It has a coolant leak on the part just behind the fan on the engine block-- (I guess this is the water pump?) Either that part is cracked or it is leaking at the seal between the pump and the
fan-- fan seems a little wobbly. How does one get the fan and pulley off? They need to come off so I can get the pump off... How does one get the water pump off of a mh 30?

Remove muffler, air cleaner stack. Remove hood, grille, rad hoses and then rad. 4 bolts hold fan to pump, the pump should be bolted to the block. Install new seal and reverse the process. Ben

ok-- makes sense-- Absolutely necessary to take radiator off? Seems to leak only after being shut off-- Tractor overheats after running for a few minutes. What are the other possibilities for causing this other than water pump?

I was wrong-- it leaks from directly behind the fan when coolant is added. Now I am looking for a water pump for this tractor or a water pump rebuild kit-- anyone have one?
