ignition timing question

I have a MF35 with Z134 gas. I removed distributor to identify but then reinstalled. I missed correct alignment and tractor did not start so I started from begining with #1 cylinder at compression stroke DTC. tractor is running but I need to correctly time. My service manual shows timing at 2200 RPM but that seems excessive. What would the timing mark need to be If i timed at a lower RPM, say 600?
thanks

Thanks ptfarmer. That's were I am now. My Ford 801 is about 6 degrees at 600 RPMs so i just went with that. Thanks for clearing it up in my mind.

Before top dead center (tdc) is the same thing as saying advance yes. So 6° TDC is the same as 6° advance.

(quoted from post at 07:15:00 11/16/16) i misspoke earlier. My static timing is at 6 degrees. Shouldn't the 600 RPM timing be advanced?

You can set it static a 6, depending on the weights, and springs in the distributor for the advance it still could be at 6 at 600 rpm.

Oh... Think i misunderstood his comment about 600 being advanced. Sorry... Unless you have a weak or broken spring on one of the weights you should not be drawing any mechanical advance at 600.
