One more mh 50 questions, carb

New coil and the old 50 ran and idled fine for a couple minutes the other today. Today I went to check up on it and change the oil and such. Ran great for a couple minutes then started dying out and missing. Sometimes choke helped and sometimes choke killed it. Fuel flow was very good. Took the Carter carburetor home today and cleaned it up a bit. It wasn't terrible but might have had something in it causing it to have a fit. Anyway, Anybody know the standard settings for the high and low speed jets? 1 1/2 turns out after screwed in all the way or something like that? Want to clean everything a little better but don't want to mess with those without knowing what their supposed to be at. Thanks for any help!

my MF 50 has a MS carb. thankfully. I have two 35's that have carter carbs. one is no trouble the other is a grand PITA. nothing I do gets it right. good luck.

A MS carb should be a bolt on if the bolt holes that hold the carb on are the same. The last MS carb I did took a few tries to get it to work right.
