MH SP corn picker engine

GW in Ks

I acquired a Massey Harris self propelled corn picker that I plan on restoring. Everything looks mechanically in good shape except for the engine. It is locked up and water came in through the exhaust. The manual says it is a Continental F226 engine. The serial plate is missing. I see the F226 is used on the MH 44-6 and the 101 senior. Is it the identical engine or is it configured differently? Also looking for a left hand fender for this picker.

Wish I could help. Always wanted one of those pickers since seeing some at an auction once. Begged dad to bid but no go. All went to scrap back then. Havent seen one in person since. Post pics please!

I saw one at a tractor show in Chambersburg, Pa several years back. it was in very nice shape. the association owned it and displayed it. The tin work was really good and I am sure it ran at that time. If you needed to fabricate parts some one from that group might help. It was called Cumberland Valley Antique Association. The show was at Twin Bridges Campground in Chambersburg, Pa
