Seal Kit for MF 175 power steering pump

I think the power steering pump is letting fluid into the crankcase, anyone have experience putting a seal kit in a ps pump for a 1969 mf175 diesel? How hard is it? Do they last? Better off to replace

A seal kit for a 175 ps pump from YT is around $63, a ready to go pump is $260. If your pump isn't worn bad (from being run low on oil repeatedly) a seal kit maybe worth it. If the pump is worn a seal kit maybe useless (plus the time, and money spent on the seal kit). On pumps that I know have been run with low, or no oil repeatedly I would either get a new pump, or rebuild the old one. A worn pump that has been resealed may work ok, but not nearly as good as a new, or rebuilt one.
