Any suggestions on returning the power to high range?
I recently purchased the tractor. I can get the valve linkage to almost touch the case with applied pressure.Still no luck.I see what I think are cooling lines of some sort entering the case on either side of the valve.Free wheeling just not gonna work in hay season.

Is the clutch working ok? When running an
implement will the pto engage and disengage
properly? Low side of mp is the default - i.e. If there
Is no pressure to the mp, it will stay in low only.

if you have a bad pto clutch, the mp may not be
getting any hyd pressure to engage.

If the shift linkage moves up/down OK then you have other trouble. If the tractor is a later model there's a pressure test port on the left side cover, get the service manual out and see what the MP auxiliary side pressure is. Could be several things wrong, worn pump, drive failed pump not turning, burned clutch plates, broken bellcrank bolt at the shift spool, or simply low oil level. Just a few things I've seen as an old MF mechanic.

The pto does work. I haven't put it under an implement load yet. I can get both ground speed and live pto. Now the former owner said once the tractor warms up it can be difficult to engage the pto. He said he'd have to shut the tractor off then engage and start the tractor after heavy use. I haven't run into this yet so idk.
