Our 3505 seemed to be under powered but working fine otherwise lately. New fuel filters did not solve the issue and during a power outage it did not have enough power to run a 50kw generator where previously it would easily.
A mechanic neighbour said there is a screen inside the lift pump that is common to plug up with crud on older Massey's with steel fuel tanks and he was exactly right. After a good cleaning out a test run on the generator it will now power it at almost full load no problem at all and I thought I'd pass the tip along.
