No Oil Pressure

135 MF
Diesel
Shows 3,200 hours
Uses very little oil.

I have used this tractor for 5-6 years putting on around 300-400 hours per year.
This tractor starts good and does not smoke when idling or under load
Normal looking smoke when revving the motor.
No knocking, rattling, or anything else.
Everything appears and sounds good.

The trouble is that it will barely move the needle on the oil pressure gauge. It was like this when I bought it. When I bought it I was prepared to overhaul it but I was waiting for it to lock up or something.
A week ago I replaced the gauge and it will barely move at idle but I can get about 10# by revving it.

Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks, Greg

Did you clean the oil tube out ? Compressed air is sometimes not enough , a fine cable or wire threaded down and then rotated gently with a battery drill will get rid of the more stubborn blockages . Wash with fuel then blow with air .

I'm with Charles and Piney on this. Known good guage in the block and clean the line and the block hole.

OK. Thanks

I did blow it out and blew into the block
I'll use the wire method as I don't have the fittings on hand to hook it directly to the block.

I appreciate y'all,
Greg

Does your MF 135 have item # 2?

If so, remove and inspect OIL PUMP inlet / Screen:

Item # 2 is an inspection plate on the bottom of the oil pan......your engine many not have this inspection plate. I just realised YT picture transfer is NOT working.

When the PICTURE/PHOTO transfer was not working on YT last week some how my sign in name sent a picture of Mr. Jordon McDermott. Not sure how this all happened....however, I m certainly very proud of this Gentleman...well done.
