MF 202 front axle rating

Hello everyone,
I recently acquired a 1959 MF 202 Workbull. It doesn't have a loader on it and I'm thinking I might add one to stack hay with. We use big square (4x4x8) bales out here and often with a little weather, they get upwards of a ton in weight. I'd like to find out what the front axle of this thing is rated for before I invest into it. I really like the size of the thing for getting around in the corrals/haylot. Any advice/help/data would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a 202 with a loader on it. I know the weight of round bales varies quite a bit but I can lift a 5'Hx4'W round bale with mine. The guy we used to get bales from makes larger ones for himself and I could not lift one of them more than a foot or two off the ground. Again, it all varies by moisture content, how tightly they're wrapped etc. so that may not be too much help.

Having said that, the manual for the 102 loader (which is the one I have on mine) says the max capacity is 3200lbs to half height and 2100lbs to full height. So with that you should be ok.

Thanks you for the response, Inno. I'm thinking it should be fine with what I need. It's a pretty heavily made cast steel front end. May need to fill the rear tires and add some weights or a weight box to keep things from tipping. I have another old tractor that someone mounted a loader onto (not factory) that has no trouble with the weight loader framewise, but we have broken several spindles on the tractor. I hate it when that happens and it is hard on things! Not being familiar with this tractor (never heard of one before now), is your 102 model loader one that Massey equipped the 202 with, or is it one that someone added over the years?
