Friend of mine just bought a 1233 MF tractor (made by Iseki), when he raises an implement the lift lever immediately drops and the implement falls when he removes his hand from the lift lever. I'm a Ford guy and can't help him on it as I've never had a Ford tractor do this, any ideas what could be causing this and what's needed to repair it, as long as he keeps his hand on the lift lever in the raised position it will keep implement raised until he lets go of it.....

looks like there is an adjustment for it, look where the lever comes down it ties into another linkage bracket it should have a double nut on it tighten up the double nuts and it should hold if it wont it will need to be taken apart and the 2 friction discs will need to be replaced, look on agcopartsbooks.com log in as a guest and put in the model number and go to where it says HYDRAULICS - LEVER (POSITION),COVER (VALVE) SYSTEM and you will see what I'm talking about
