MF 150 engine swap

newbie with a question. thinking of buying a project MF 150 with a frozen up 3/152 diesel. question. will the 4/203 from the 165 fit without a lot of surgery?? ive done a number of engine swaps in cars, but i am new to tractor mechanic butchery. from the pics. ive seen there should enough room. any responses are appreciated

A 150 is pretty much a 165, but with the 3 cylinder diesel instead of a 4 cylinder diesel. If you are in the US the Perkins 4.203 diesel is a 3.152 with one more cylinder so the swap should be not too bad (I've never tried it).

I would think it would make the tractor longer, which may cause problems with steering, throttle and other linkages.

The 150, and 165 use the same front axle support a long with the hood, grill, etc.
