I have an early model MF 65 that has major steering problems. I need to replace the steering shaft and the steering arm that connects to the tie rods. Someone had
welded them together and installed them out of time, which rubbed on the driveshaft for the loader pump and wore it in two.
My question is: How do you determine when the steering assembly is in time? There are no index marks and I can't trust the way it was previously assembled.
This tractor runs great and looks pretty good but is becoming a real money pit. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
