MF 165 Electrical Question

I'm rewiring a MF 165 and came across something odd on the electrical diagram. There is a wire going from the voltage regulator to the alternator that appears to be intentionally disconnected. Does anyone know what this wire is for and when it should be connected?

Printing error???

Is the circuit complete on your tractor? I'd rewire it as it has been.

Our 175 has that same wire, not sure what it is for, but it is hot, so keep it insulated, if you keep it as-is.

Thanks to both of you. I think this may have been a printing error. I've located a wiring diagram for a diesel equipped MF135 that indicates the wiring should be the same for my diesel MF165 and it shows the wire connected to the generator.
