"If" they are anything like the 175 - they are on a switch on near the steering wheel. That switch only gets current when the engine is
running due to a pressure sensing switch on the oil pressure guage. Beyond that, on the 175 there is also a switch on the rear work light
that also has to be on for it to work.

The flasher just pulses the voltage on and off causing the light to flash..
 
I have power with out the motor running. cant seem to figure wiring out from the work light to warning lights
