I have a 1963 MF 35. Today the steering box started leaking oil from it. What does it mean?

If I'm not mistaken, it leaking from where the seal is. Its a dark grey color. Just started all of a sudden and its leaking pretty bad. Steering is not affected as of yet. But of course, I parked it a few minutes after the fact. Thanks in advance.
