Heavy spring clutch?

I am replacing the dual stage clutches in a 175 - the local dealer Is suggesting going with the clutch kit with the heavy springs? Any thoughts on whether that is a good idea and/or drawbacks? Thanks!

I did that one time on a 245 mf shifted the same as before but took twice as much pressure to push the clutch down, did not like that.

I think the heavy spring is more for an industrial/ loader model. You should be fine with the standard model for regular ag work.

be careful to get the correct weight pressure plate,if I remember correct there is a 900#,1200#,1400# and a 1600# pressure plate that all look the same, easy way to tell the difference is the color of the springs I just don't remember the value of each color, the pto belville spring will be matched accordingly,i prefer the 1600# even though the pedal may be a little stiff, you definitely don't want to use one that is to light BTDT, even when I questioned the spring color I was told that is the one the book calls for only the book didn't have to replace it I did,I finally removed the springs and had them tested and it turned out to be a 900# set-up instead of a 1600# then they decided to replace the pressure plate but no labor
