Just got a MF35 with 5' bush hog, the guy did not have a over ride clutch on the tractor. I don't know alot about how multipower pto's work. Does this tractor need one on the pto when running a bush hog?

If you mean IPTO (independent Power Take Off) I do run one on my 150. The hydraulic pressure is either going to the clutch or the brake, nothing in between. The brake pad on these are very small and in my opinion, it is designed to hold the PTO shaft and not stop it with a rotating mass.

Others here have said to idle down the tractor (which I do anyway) before turning the PTO off. This lets the engine slow down the brush cutter.
