MF35 gasser key switch positions

My MF35 KEY switch has 4 positions, all they way left or CCW is off, next one to (CW or to the right) and tractor will crank/run,
what ore the two remaning (CW or right click) positions for?
 
Dieseltech is correct. The manual says, "The "I" position closes the ignition circuit. The "IL" position closes both the ignition and light circuit and the "L" position closes the light circuit only". And obviously the leftmost position is for the "Off" position.

The other replies are correct. Funny thing though, my MF 202 Workbull has the same 4 position switch. The keys for those switches are all alike. My tractor didn't come with a key and I just ordered one from Steiner.

The other replies are correct. Funny thing though, my MF 202 Workbull has the same 4 position switch and those keys are not particular to the switch. The keys are all the same.

My tractor came without a key but I just ordered one from external link and it works fine.
 
Thanks everyone, the tractor had everything painted over and the guy I got it from just said turn the key 1 position. Just wanted
to make sure this position let the generator charge sense the amp gauge isn't working.

My MF 202 is the industrial version of the MF35. It has the same four position switch. The funny thing about those switches is that the same key will work that switch in any tractor. Those keys are not particular to the individual switches.

That is the way most of them are so you don't need a different key for each individual tractor. I used to be a heavy equipment field mechanic for a construction company, and every make of equipment like Caterpillar has their own key that works with every piece of equipment they make so you don't need a different key for each one.

Yeah...I guess that's so the guy doing a construction job on the next block down from you can come over and borrow your equipment to use while your guys are sleeping at night. :mrgreen:
