throtle slows down

The throttle on my Massey Ferguson 165 will not stay in the same place. It slows the tractor down slowly. If I hold it, it will stay the same speed. What is wrong with it.

Need to replace or tighten your friction discs on the throttle handle.....just inside the dash......they should have a bolt with a lock nut and spring on them.....try tightening them first.....usually need replaced.

Probably need to get some new parts for the friction assembly that is located on the bottom of the throttle rod.

Spring washer, and a couple of new cork friction washers will make it much better.

If it needs to be better yet, you will have to do something about the wear between the steel washer and the formed ears on the throttle shaft.
