Gentlemen,
I have a '48 Massey Harris 44K that has the early governor control cable system. My difficulty is adjusting the cable from the control on the steering column to the spring on the bottom of the control arm, then from the top arm of the governor to the carburetor throttle butterfly. It is basically a cable inside a conduit from where the lever actuates it to the spring at the lower governor arm. I tried to dial it in and can't get it even close. I can't find anything in my shop manual that even resembles my setup, much less how to adjust it. I'll post photos this evening when I get back from town. Anyone even know the setup I'm talking about? Thanks for any assistance, have a Blessed Day.
