Massey 1130 3-point hitch

I have a problem with my 3-point hitch where it raises automatically and has no control.

Overnight it will drop back down; but, when started, it will automatically raise.

I can start the tractor with the hydraulic bypass up and it will also stay down; but, once hydraulics are engaged, it rises.

People have told me that it is a stuck valve; but, I have no idea where to look for this valve. I've opened a cover in front below the seat where the control linkage goes through and I thought it might be; but, cannot get my hands in the small opening to do anything if it were in that location.

Any ideas?

Does sound like a stuck control valve in the hydraulic pump, or someone messed with the internal linkage for the draft, and position controls. Look into the cover on the right hand side with the engine off, and move the draft, and position control levers to see if they are moving. The arms dropping down overnight is usually the seals on the piston in the lift cylinder are worn, and leaking oil by as it sits.

The linkage for the draft and position control do move and rotate some cams; but, no results on the lift. That was as far as I got when looking since I couldn't reach in to see what was happening to the valves (or whatever) being pushed by the cams.

I knew the overnight drop was leakage; but, it hasn't caused a problem as it is a slow leak (IE I don't have to adjust the controls much when mowing hay) I know that will get worse and sometime I will have to replace the seals.

(quoted from post at 20:08:53 09/07/16) Does the lever with the roller feel like its moving anything, or feels loose?

It doesn't feel loose. In fact, it looks like the cams are pressing down on some sort of valve when I move the control arm. But I can't get my hands inside the box to do anything.

That sounds like the box I am talking about. It is below the seat and behind the seat cylinder.

I can take the cover off and look inside to see the cams and such; but, which valve is oscillating valve and how do I get to it? My hands are bigger than the cover plate opening.

a 1155 I use to run done that and the shop mechanic removed the cover you are referring to and set a screwdriver against the valve and bumped it with his hand and it released it happened a couple more times and that's how I unstuck it but it's been so long now I can't remember how the linkages are situated to explain exactly which part to hit
