2705 multipower

i have a 2705 multipower, there was a hydraulic oil leak then i lost my hi, low and reverse. tractor is currently split at the bellhousing, is there a common problem to be repaired before i go any further?

Where was the leak?

i'm not exactly sure where the leak was, it looks like it was back around the shift cover somwhere

I guess I am unsure why the need to split the tractor? Sounds like you lost enough pressure to the power shift to make it not work from the leak, that is why I asked where the leak was! The lines for the power shift go right past the shift cover.

sorry i was just basing my diagnosis on second hand information. anyways the tractor still had three buckets of oil in it so i took the hydraulic shift out and took it apart and found a ripped o ring on the piston

Well while you have it apart might as well do the normal replacing of things. No use having to do it again! LOL
