MF 35 Perkins won't start after long rest.

Haven't used my 35 for about a year. it's been parked in a shed since I last used it.
I primed it first by checking for diesel at the filters - ok.
I knew the battery was bad so I jumped it from my 135. While cranking it I got diesel squirting at the lower IP bleed screw, but much less at the upper and nothing at the injector connector. I cranked it for quite a bit, but decided it wasn't going to start.
Any tips or advice welcome. - Mike

The only other thing you could do is.. remove/lift the top cover and see if the
metering valve is stuck in the shut-off position..
IT MUST move freely, back and forth..
IF its free, the pumping plungers inside the pump are stuck..
nothing you can do about that.. pump must be dismantled and cleaned.

If there has been any traces of water in the fuel most likely the plungers, metering valve, and/or regulating piston are stuck. Been seeing this trouble much more lately on pumps that have set awhile, especially if there's any bio fuel used. The only sure repair is a complete tear down, cleaning and reseal of the complete pump. Last one in like that was from a Ford 3000.

The new ultra low sulfur diesel locks up pumps that set very long. If you live in a state that mandates soy be blended with the diesel it happens sooner. I bet 20-30% of all the pumps I see in my shop are victims of this new diesel and are "stuck". I have seen 3 in the last two weeks here.
