Continental gas engine. My 3 point lift works sporadically. It will go up but won't lift any weight. It doesn't want to come down even with the lever all the way down. I drained it and replace with GL1-90.

Anyway, I was looking at replacement parts. I see replacement cylinders and pistons but I was wondering, is there no relief valve to replace like the ones on my 8N?
 
I have the same machine. I run mine without a filter on the hydraulics. this control valve is my problem and it acts the same as yours from what I read. I could only put one of the 2 precision washers in as there wasn't enough room. if someone could explain where these washers go it would be a very big help. I know the valve can be turned around for faster or slower response. thank you clarence

You should look here http://agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/Viewer/Default.aspx? after you enter in the model number, and select MF go to pages 302 to 312 and find the pump that matches the one you have.
