Please help Identify this Tractor

Hello,

I need some help and was hoping some of the experts here could help.

I have a Massey fergusen Tractor which needs some work, it needs a new starter at a minimum, it also appears to be missing something on the left (from the drivers seat) that was inline with the fuel system if you had any idea what that was it would be appreciated. All I know is that This is an old Massey Fergusen Tractor, but I have no idea what it is, it does take Diesel and has mechanical injection.

There is no plate that I can find but there are some number on the left side of the frame casting ;
966137; 966009 it is a 4 speed with low high gear select and a PTO

Also, is this a "Perkins" engine, and can I buy parts for a Perkins?

looks like an MF 35 or 65
35 is a 3 cyl
65 is a 4 cyl
but could be a 50 or 85 as well
there are others that are simalar too
hopefully someone can correctly ID it

as to what is missing on the fuel lines I think it maybe the fuel filter/s
see if you can load a pic of the area were it's missing

the good news is both the starter and fuel filter set up is pretty well the same on most of the
smaller massey's like yours IIRC

Tractor in the pic is the model 25. It was replaced by the 130, both are rare in the US. 35, 50, 65, and 85 are all much larger.

wasn't the 25 a french made tractor
if it is it'll be harder to get parts

Yup, French outfit. Brother has the newer 130 that replaced the 25. I wonder if most came to the US through Canada?

Canada does get some different stuff than the US.

the 25 is rare here too I think
I never seen one anywhere here at shows or for sale
but that doesn't mean they aren't out there
lots of 35, 50 & 65's as well as the 100's
I know of 7 35's for sale within 25 miles of me right now
and 1 65

Thanks for all the replies, I have looked at other pictures of the 25 and can confirm this is a 25, does anyone know what engine it has and can it cross reference with anything else to figure out how to get a starter for it? Thanks, John
