Our church bought a 1959 To35 Massey Fuguson from a widow. The guy who made the deal and wanted to use it to take care of the churches 5 acres, he left the church.

I took over, I've operated tractors but never really worked on them, they where all new and under warranty. I find myself enjoying working on this old tractor. The last owner had started working on it, he got the engine rebuilt and he painted it but he died of cancer before he could finish it.

After resealing the gas tank, replacing the fuel lines, replacing the the intake/exaust manifold, the exhast, rebuilding the carb, replacing the alternator and completely rewiring the tractor, I've got it running pretty well. Now I need to sort out the added on hydraulics.

Now the issues! The control valves leak. I've done some searching on google and haven't identified them. I'd like to rebuild them first if possible. After that I need to replace all the lines. Then I need figure out what I can do to impove the speed of the front end loader and use it without stealing pressure from the 3 point, I'm thinking I can add a front pump, currently it has no fluid resivor(bypassed) and its getting fluid from the case through a valve that lets me switch between the 3 point and the front end loader.

The control valve for the loader doesn't look like one a MF would use. The current hydraulics work slow because the pump that is used for the 3 point is 4 gpm. For a fel a minimum of 14 gpm works good (most use a 20 gpm pump). It is also possible to put a front mount hydraulic pump on the tractor, the parts are out there for it. An alternative for a front mount pump is one that is run off the pto, but if you need to run a mower you would need something to hold the loader up off the ground. Then the pto pump would have to be removed so you can use a mower. The last is to add another internal pump behind the one for the 3 point that is 9 gpm. I don't know of anyone who put an internal auxiliary pump in a TO35, but I think it could be done since the TO35 is pretty much the same as the MF35.
