Difference between mf35 and f40?

Hi, all,

I have a to-30 and a to-35 both of which I like. I went to see a craigslist 35 which turned out to be a different tractor. It says f40 on the tin but I
couldn't find a plate or an engine tag. It looks like a much bigger tractor than the 35 and has an industrial front axle and power steering. To be
more clear the front axle is a hollow box beam not the castings that are on the 35 or the 30. Tractor data says the f40 also has a 2.2L
continental engine and is 31 hp.

I'm tempted to rescue this tractor (motor free, no start, 50% rubber, dented tin, heavy duty loader $1500).

I'd be grateful for any tips about f40 tractors you might have.

Thanks

Bill

The F40 is pretty much the same tractor as the MF50, and M-H50. The newer MF150 is still much the same tractor except for sheet metal, and some minor changes from the MF50. The F40, MF50, and M-H50 is really more like the bigger MF65, but with the same engine/power of the TO-35, and MF, and M-H50. I would buy the F40 if its not to wornout, or beatup.

There was a MF 40 industrial. Is the one your looking at look similar to this? There was 4 models.
